Diversified worked closely with Barco to create and deploy Barco’s Lobby Experience, an innovative advanced technology platform, transforming the cinema lobby into an immersive storytelling environment. Utilizing a lively combination of animated box oﬃce, concession and menu boards, dynamic movie posters and multi‐screen, synchronized feature film promotional content called “Lobby Domination,” Regal’s LA location boasts 22 visual touchpoints featuring 62 individual displays in various configurations. With its broad range of LCD displays to satisfy the various requirements, Barco aligned with industry leading Samsung to provide the digital signage displays throughout, complemented by an 3 x1 Portrait 84” Barco elevator display.
Excitement is further heightened by Barco’s High End System Lighting and Harman’s JBL Audio System. AMX Control via touchpanels provides staﬀ unified control and Barco Escape, Auro 11.1 and 2K, 4K and 6P Laser projection systems provide incomparable auditorium experiences for the viewers.
Content management and creative were major factors in element design as content was displayed across box oﬃce, concession and lobby areas with a combination of local, asynchronous and “Lobby Domination” content that ranged from local promotions and upcoming releases with no audio to national events and promotions with full audio, video and lighting eﬀects. The solution is a scalable and repeatable design, allowing for the content to be used in multiple instances and technologies.
