The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Mobile Production Truck for Growing Congregation to Share its Message
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) has a continually growing spectrum of productions. From weekly devotionals given by Church leaders to large scale productions with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, as well as cinema production, it was recognized that a mobile production facility was a requirement.
The requirement was contemplated for a number of years and a solution to support the vision of the broad array of requirements was brought to life by Diversified. Built on a chassis by Gerling and Associates, Diversified provided design consultation, engineering and integration of this premier mobile production facility.
With a deep focus on audio acquisition and recording, Diversified paid close attention to the acoustic conditions of the space dedicated to audio and coordinated closely with the team from Solid State Logic (SSL) and the Church to create a spectacular 5.1 audio production area. This drove the layout of the trailer and once set in place, the remaining production areas were developed.
The spacious production control room is centered around the 54-LCD-monitor wall driven by Evertz VIP processors, utilizing Evertz state of the art VIP-X technology for cabling efficiency. Every monitor is driven from the routing switcher to give the production team maximum flexibility with minimal support from the engineering crew. The production control room is so spacious that it is easy to forget that you are not in a fixed facility.
