AV Solution Upgrades and Standardization Across an Expanding Fortune 500 Enterprise
Facebook’s office in Central London was undergoing an expansion to house more employees and required specialized conferencing and enhanced audio visual capabilities. The project also included an improvement to their existing video display wall and an upgrade of control room equipment to support live and pre-recorded broadcast capabilities in their conference and events venue. Diversified was chosen to integrate the new video conferencing solution to help them collaborate with other locations around the world as well as upgrade broadcast systems across the campus.
Managing contractors in Europe meant dealing with a several-hour time difference and adhering to European compliance rules and regulations. The project was also on a fast track. The Diversified team needed to work within the time constraints and maneuver in a tight space around construction and other trades as an architectural ceiling was being constructed in the same area as the control room.
To minimize challenges with the time difference and tight deadline, Diversified provided precise coordination with the other trades. Meetings and site visits were scheduled ahead of time and planned accordingly for effective implementation of the plan. The Diversified team also sent employees to London and used local labor to meet deadlines and facilitate work along side European contractors.
The expansion and upgrades that Diversified provided afford Facebook more seating and an event space to host conferences, corporate presentations and other events. Additionally, the new video conferencing capabilities allow remote workers and those in other locations to attend events and collaborate on work efforts with locations worldwide. Lastly, Facebook’s Central London office now has a more impressive video display wall with better sound and video support and overflow monitors.
With Diversified’s help in their London location, Facebook is now standardizing their offices, allowing them easy-to-manage audio visual equipment and the ability to swap out engineers in different locations as needed without loss of knowledge on system setup.
