The 12th Man Production facility consists of three identically configured production control rooms to be used to originate programming for Kyle Field video displays and other TAMU facilities such as Reed Arena and Blue Bell Park as well as broadcast support functions. Fiber optics connect at least a half-a-dozen other campus venues. For A-Level events, truck-dock integration with the Control Room allows for mobile production trucks to broadcast live.
Also included are two studios, an Internet streaming control room, a “radio studio;” a centralized rack room, centralized shading and POV room, centralized slow motion room, edit rooms, and the Aggie Experience Theater.
Technology used in the integration:
- Grass Valley was used for cameras and switchers. The camera solution included (14) HD cameras, (2) 6X super slo-mo cameras, and a 4k high-resolution camera.
- Evertz Dreamcatcher replay system, slo-mo routers, monitor walls, core equipment and fiber-optics.
